Richard John Mirk, 62, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012 at his home in Minden with his family by his side. He was born November 21, 1949 in Alta Dena CA. He and his wife moved to Minden in 2000 after living in Irvine CA for 27 years.
He is survived by his wife, Judy, of 42 years, along with daughters Michelle and Jennifer; nephew, Wesley; great niece, Cinnamon Ivy; grandson, James and niece, Kathy. He loved his classic cars and enjoyed attending local car shows. He was often seen driving his 57 T-Bird around town. He was a man of strength and a character, A man that everyone respected and enjoyed being with. He will be deeply missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing him.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012, 2pm at the Lone Mountain cemetery in Carson City. Reception will follow at the Mirk residence in Minden.
