Obituary: Sheri Ann O'Hara

Sheri Ann O'Hara, 67, passed away at home on July 2, 2012.

She was born on October 3, 1944 to Wayne and Dorothy (Hamer) Yates in Reno, Nevada. She grew up in Carson City, Nevada and graduated from Carson High School.

Sheri dedicated many years of service as a legal secretary with the State of Nevada at the Department of Transportation and Attorney General's office. She cherished the lifelong friendships she made along the way. She was proud of her career and frequently shared stories over the years about experiences with her buddies.

In passing, Sheri leaves all of us with memories of her contagious laugh, wonderful sense of humor, and generous kindness. She enjoyed a good joke and taking walks with her dogs.

Sheri is survived by two children: daughter, Heather Dalton of Reno, Nevada, and daughter, Erinne Aboytes and her husband, Jim, of Davis, California. She was treasured by her grandchildren Hunter Dalton, Grant Aboytes, Max Aboytes and Gianna Aboytes.

At her request there will not be a formal service but her ashes will be privately spread in the San Francisco Bay where she would like her friends and family to enjoy her memory and the beauty of the area she loved so much.
