Sheriff's office searching for missing 16-year-old girl

The Carson City Sheriff's Office is asking the public to help find a runaway who has been gone for a month.

Shelby Essex, a 16-year-old female, jumped out of a window on July 22 and grabbed no clothing when she left, according to the sheriff's office.

Essex is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs approximately 150 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes.

Essex was last seen wearing blue jeans and a yellow shirt with cap sleeves.
