Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for Nov. 29. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:• Artisan Bakeworks & Cafe caterer, 701 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.• Artisan Bakeworks & Caf restaurant, 701 S. Carson St., scored 94 points. Found readily perishable food above 50 degrees. The refrigerator was not working properly, and all the food in the preparation table refrigerator had to be discarded. There was no cold holding thermometer in the preparation table refrigerator.• Dickey’s Barbecue Pit caterer, 3250 Retail Drive #100, scored 100 points.• Dickey’s Barbecue Pit restaurant, 3250 Retail Drive #100, scored 97 points. There was no cold holding thermometer in the preparation table refrigerator. Found a salad mixing jar stacked on the coleslaw with the jar bottom touching the food.• Dream Dinners, 135 Clearview Drive #123, scored 100 points.• Hickory Farms, 1443 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.• Quik Stop Markets, Inc., 3006 N. Roop St., scored 92 points. The internal temperature of burritos, etc. in the “Grab ’n Go” unit is 53.4 degrees. The internal temperature of ready-to-eat sandwiches in the sandwich display unit is at 44 degrees. Thermometers are not provided in the milkshake reach-in and the “Grab ’n Go” reach-in. Ready-to-eat foods are past the “use by” date, corrected on site.• Smith’s Food & Drug Bakery, 599 E. William St., scored 99 points. Studs, joists or rafters are exposed in the area above the ovens since the ceiling tiles were missing.• Smith’s Food & Drug Deli Department, 599 E. William St., scored 95 points. The floors under the tables and in the back room were not clean. The wall coving tiles at the walk-in cooler and at the soda machine were missing. There was no certified food handler in this department at the time of inspection.• Smith’s Food & Drug Meat Department, 599 E. William St., scored 100 points.• Smith’s Food & Drug Produce Department, 599 E. William St., scored 100 points.• Subway, 100 W. Winnie Lane, scored 97 points. There was no proof available that certified food handler was present during the time of the inspection.
