Cashier Fairbanks is one of the steady motorists of this city, driving his car every day the 30 miles from Reno to Carson. He says, "Good roads will benefit Carson more than any city. In Reno about 600 machines are already registered." At present it takes an hour and a half to make the journey between the two cities.

The biggest contribution of any high school athletic team to the nation's military forces is that of the Stewart Indian School, 23 of whom are leaving in a short time for the armed services. The school already has 96 boys in the service.

David Toll, author and radio commentator, was the guest speaker at the Tuesday evening meeting of Xi Alpha Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi. Refreshments were served by Barbara Hawley and Marguerite Cunningham.
