Dynamic Diesel buys building

Dynamic Diesel will triple its shop space when it moves into its new location at the corners of Greg Street and Kleppe Lane in East Sparks in January.

Owners Kevin and Malinda Campbell purchased the 27,200-square-foot building after a two-year search for a site. Currently, the company founded in 2006 occupies about 10,000 square feet on Coney Island Drive with a cramped 8,000-square-foot shop.

The Campbells had been searching for a property to lease but instead worked a deal to purchase the former location of Incline Glass.

"The economy finally got to a place where we felt like we could purchase," Malinda Campbell says. "We feel extremely blessed the Reno-Sparks community has supported us and made this possible without our customers this wouldn't have happened."

General contractor Pinecrest Construction is performing the tenant improvements at the site. The Campbells are installing 10 vehicle lifts and plan on hiring additional diesel technicians to reduce customer wait times.

"Our goal is to be big enough now that we can get you in and get you out," Campbell says.

Brian Wallace and Greg McKay from the Nevada State Development Corporation assisted the Campbells with a Small Business Administration 504 loan and Barry Collier of Heritage Bank also helped the company secure funding for its expansion. Ted Stoever, vice president of Colliers International's northern Nevada land and investment group, assisted the Campbells with site selection and purchase negotiations.

Dynamic Diesel Incorporated focuses on repair work for diesel-powered pickups and light- and medium-duty trucks, as well as gasoline-powered vehicles.
