Osprey Estate sale

Chase International closed the sale of 7,100-square-foot Osprey Estate in Incline Village, the largest single-family home sale at Lake Tahoe since January 2008.

Chase says the final selling price and purchaser are confidential, but the home was listed at $29.5 million. Osprey Estate was owned by late inventor Jerome Lemelson and his wife and has been featured in "Architectural Digest" and the "Wall Street Journal." The contemporary home includes a guesthouse and conference center.

Chief Executive Officer Shari Chase says there has been increased activity at the high end of the residential real estate market.

"The Osprey Estate sale is an example of the recent interest in larger estates, and it will encourage others to take that step," Chase says.
