Initial jobless claims

Initial claims for unemployment insurance in Nevada in November rose by less than 1 percent over their year-earlier level.

This marks second consecutive month that initial claims have run higher year-over-year, says the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation. The last time claims climbed two months in a row was in 2009.
