Obituary: Kenneth G. Neubert, Sr.

Kenneth G Neubert, Sr, passed away January 30, 2012 in Carson City, NV. Ken was born in Weehawken, NJ to Richard & Catherine Neubert. Ken spent his early years in New Jersey before enlisting in the US Navy in 1945. Ken worked several years at Cornell University in the Plant Engineering & Maintenance Dept. Followed by many years of employment with Johnson Controls in New Jersey, Connecticut & California. Ken enjoyed his retirement years in Grass Valley, CA and Carson City, NV.

Ken was a certified scuba instructor and a member of the search & rescue team in the Finger Lakes area of New York. Ken enjoyed photography and had his own darkroom. He also enjoyed traveling the world and riding his Goldwing touring motorcycle with his wife Jan. Every Wednesday & Saturday for many years, Ken could be found on a golf course.

Ken met and married his wife, Jan of 45 years in Connecticut. His wife Jan survives him as well as daughters, Patti & Rob Bozzo, Claire & Jerry Jones and Beth & Jack Del Guercio;, six grandsons, two granddaughters, two great grandsons; his brother Donald and sister Kathy. He was preceded in death by his son, Ken Neubert, Jr; his grandson, Eric Jones and his brother Richard.

A memorial service will be held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Saturday February 4, 2012 at 3 PM. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Food for Thought or FISH.
