Michael Hagerty has been named news director for KUNR 88.7 FM.
Hagerty previously was senior producer and news director for KNPB-TV Public Television in Reno.
Before moving to Reno in 2008, Hagerty worked for radio and television stations in Abilene, Texas.
He earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Abilene Christian University.
