The Gaming Control Board has filed a complaint against Cactus Jack's casino, accusing the club of using unauthorized chips in three of its poker tournaments.
According to the complaint, all chips used for gaming transactions in a licensed casino must be approved in writing by the chairman of the Gaming Control Board.
The size, shape and other specifications of the chips also must be approved and both sides must "conspicuously bear the inscription 'No Cash Value,'" according to the complaint.
The complaint charges that Cactus Jack's Senator Club used chips in tournaments held in February, May and August of 2010 without approval.
Scott Tate, owner of the club, declined to comment on the complaint filed Feb. 7. The issue will be decided by the Nevada Gaming Commission.
