Both Carson ski teams finished fifth during Monday's slalom race at Heavenly.
Leading the girls was Jennifer Huckabay in 20th; Manon Hustinex in 24th; Mary Novak in 33rd; Fiona McElhany in 37th; Taylor Laird in 39th; and Hannah Novak in 40th.
Leading the boys was Skylar VanRensselaer in sixth; Lucas Wright in 26th; Brandon Foley in 29th; and Brandon Curd 33th.
In JV action Veronica Burns was fourth; Emma Caufiled was fifth; McKennah Tackett was sixth. On the boys side, Nice Green was 20th.
The zone meet takes place Friday at Heavenly.
