(Nevada Appeal Capitol Bureau) - Judge John Tatro Tuesday filed for his fourth term as Carson City Justice of the Peace/Municipal Judge.
Tatro cited several accomplishments since first taking office in 1995 including establishing the capital's mental health court, implementing video arraignments, improving access for victims who need protective orders and expanding court hours.
He is currently serving as president of the association that represents JPs and other judges of limited jurisdiction, which consists of 86 judges statewide. He was previously voted judge of the year by his peers.
