Obituary: Newie D. Marino

Newie D. Marino, 91, passed away in Carson City, NV. On Jan. 2, 2012. He was born in Glens Falls, NY, on June 23, 1920. He lived in Carson City, NV, since 1981. Newie married Jean Marie on Oct. 31, 1949. He served the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a police officer for Glens Falls, NY., Correctional Officer at Green Haven Max Security Prison in Poughkeepsie, NY. He worked for Hughs Aircraft in security, retiring as a Sergeant with over 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Daniel Marino, in 1980. Among his survivors are his wife, Jean Marie; son, Keith David Marino & granddaughter Lindy Marino. A Memorial Mass will be held at Corpus Christi Church on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012 at 10:00am.
