Jacqueline "Jackie" Varner passed away Jan. 22, 2012 in Fallon, Nev. She was born July 15, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Carrol T. and Martina A. Huber Varner. She was employed by the State of California as a caregiver for her son, Robert. She had resided in Novato, Calif. for 50 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Angela Scurini and Echo Gonzales; sons, Donald and Robert Freeze; sisters, Shirley White and Pam Byers; brother, Bob Varner; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson on the way.
A memorial celebration will be held Friday, Jan. 27, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home, 505 Rio Vista Dr. (775) 423-2255. The family suggests donations be made, in her memory, to the American Lung Association.
