Man gets probation for breaking bar glass on patron's head

Christopher Keith Lash, 28, of Carson City, was sentenced this week to five years' probation for hitting another man in the head with a beer glass.

Nicholas Moen testified during the trial that he was leaving the Blue Bull bar on March 25 after an argument with Lash when Lash hit him in the head with the glass, severing a blood vessel in Moen's face. According to District Attorney Neil Rombardo, the attack left Moen with "permanent disfigurement and prolonged pain."

Lash faced up to five years in prison after a jury found him guilty of the felony in April. He was ordered Monday to be imprisoned for between one and 2-1/2 years, but that order was suspended.

• Allen Dwayne Reed, 50, of Carson City, pleaded guilty Tuesday to using the Internet to control a visual presentation depicting sexual conduct of persons under 16 years of age. According to court documents, he was found in possession of images of girls younger than 10. He faces up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine, though he is eligible for probation if a mental health assessment finds him at low risk to re-offend. He must register as a sex offender.

• Jaime Allen Rosaschi, 49, of Carson City, pleaded guilty Tuesday to felony attempted grand larceny of more than $2,500 after trying to steal an ATM from Carson Lanes in May. He faces up to five years in prison, though prosecutors agreed in court documents to not oppose probation if he does not have any prior felony or gross-misdemeanor convictions. His conspirator, Jeremy Weedmark, 26, of Carson City, pleaded guilty to attempted burglary for the same incident in May and faces the same conditions as Rosaschi.
