Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail over the weekend. All are innocent until proved guilty in court.

• Adam Gary McDonald, 28, of Carson City was arrested at about 4:15 a.m. Sunday and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and felony providing a false name to avoid prosecution, felony commercial burglary and several misdemeanors. Deputies with the sheriff's Special Enforcement Team responded to a call of suspicious activity at the Wal-Mart at 3200 Market St. They saw a car, which they determined McDonald to be driving, moving and parking at various businesses without the occupant getting out. When contact was made with McDonald, deputies reported that he gave a false name and Social Security number. Deputies contacted the owner of the car, who said they were lending it to McDonald and gave consent for it to be searched. The deputies reported finding methamphetamine and paraphernalia. When another deputy viewed Wal-Mart security footage, he reported seeing McDonald take a backpack and fill it with about $500 worth of goods. His misdemeanor charges include driving on a suspended driver's license, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing an officer and violation of pretrial conditions. His bail was $47,300.

• Brian Eduardo Angel-Ramirez, 20, of Carson City, was arrested at about 10:30 a.m. Friday on a felony warrant charging him with possession of a controlled substance. Deputies received an anonymous tip that Angel-Ramirez was near Carmine Street and Dori Way. He was arrested without incident, according to the arrest report.

• Stephanie Rae Serve, 38, of Carson City, was arrested at about 11:30 p.m. Friday on a felony warrant charging her with possession of stolen property, and a misdemeanor warrant charging her with contempt of court and misdemeanor charges of failure to maintain a single lane and possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription. Deputies reported stopping a truck driven by Serve near Robinson Street and Drew Way for failing to maintain a single lane. She was arrested for the warrants and during a search, a bottle with prescription hydrocodone was found, according to the arrest report. Her bail was $26,387.

• David Escobar, 18, of Carson City, was arrested at about 5 p.m. Saturday and charged with felony obtaining and use of a credit card without the owner's consent and the misdemeanors of petit larceny and possession of stolen property. Escobar reportedly had met another man through a social networking site and they met for dinner. The victim said that he used his debit card several times in front of Escobar while they were together and that when the meeting was over, did not have his card, and later saw a $400 withdrawal at an ATM he had not used. When contacted by deputies, Escobar reportedly admitted to taking the card and making the withdrawal and gave the card to the deputies. His bail was $8,750.

• Keith Allan Price Jr., 29, of Carson City, was arrested at about 5:15 p.m. Sunday and charged with felony violation of an extended protection order. Price reportedly drove his car within 100 yards of the home of the subject of the order, the mother of his children. The woman said he let the children out and drove toward the sidewalk in front of her lawn in an aggressive manner, according to the arrest report. Price reportedly told police that he did drive within 100 yards to drop off his children and that he was then taunted by the woman's new husband. His bail was $7,500.

• Joseph Montez, 31, of Carson City, was arrested at about 10:15 p.m. Sunday and charged with being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm, a felony; gross misdemeanor possession of prescription drugs without a prescription; and the misdemeanors of discharging a firearm in the city, obstructing a peace office, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of a suspended sentence. Neighbors reported a man shooting a rifle from an apartment balcony near Brown Street and Edmonds Drive. Deputies arrived to find Montez with a rifle, a glass pipe used to smoke marijuana near the couch and prescription pills, according to the arrest report. A records check showed he was an ex-felon, according to the report. His girlfriend reportedly said he had been shooting the rifle at a stray animal. His bail was $8,300.
