Technology developed by Reno's Radical Blue Gaming is at the heart of a progressive gaming application, Volcan, launched at Casino de Charlevoix in La Malbaie, Quebec, Canada.
Russ Ristine, president of Radical Blue, said his company worked with Ingenio, a research and development subsidiary of Loto-Quebec, and WMS Gaming on the new technology.
He said it's the first operator-developed program that uses the standardized game-to-system communications protocol that links individual gaming machines with a central server.
