On Sunday afternoon at Lake Tahoe, in the vicinity of Marlette & Folsom's camp, was visited by one of the fiercest hailstorms ever experienced there.

The hail dropped so thick and fast that where it fell into the Lake the spray had all the appearance of steam, and the water seemed to be boiling.

The planting of Royal Chinook salmon in the Truckee River has a success as evident from the large number of fish caught recently by local anglers. The largest salmon hooked to date was within city limits at six and one-half pounds.

Perfect attendance records have been reported for Carson City Schools. Those with perfect records are: Daniel Humphreys, Isabelle Forbusch, Marilyn Larson, Gloria Grande, Barbara Jean Humphreys, Sylvia Ranney, Herbert Gille, Victor Pardini, Mary Ann Crocker, Donna Ellertson, Bill Berning, Moss Helen Little, Betty Schutz, Jane Seirman, Clinton Whitlow, and Frank Cliff Jr. (plus many more too many to list).

The Lucky Bowling League finished its first round of tournament play Friday at the Silver State Lanes. The TV Workshop and Wilbur's Men's Shop moved up from last week's spot. Bob Bowman lead TV Workshop with a 182-472.
