Northern Nevada Medical Center staff

Kris Trotter, Paula Schmidt, Brenda Jahnke and Robin Krueger have joined the staff of Northern Nevada Medical Center.

Trotter was hired as director of clinical excellence and risk management. She is a registered nurse with more than 10 years of experience in supervision and management in hospitals and public health.

She earned a master's degree in public health from the Indiana University School of Medicine, a master's degree in nursing from the Indiana University School of Nursing, and a master's in business administration from Walden University.

Schmidt was hired as director of medical, surgical and telemetry services.

She comes to NNMC with nearly 30 years of critical care and medical surgical nursing experience and has spent the past 16 years in leadership roles.

Schmidt received her degree as a registered nurse from St Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in Duluth, Minn., and her bachelor's in nursing from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Mich. She earned a master's degree in nursing from Clarkson College in Omaha, Neb.

Jahnke serves as director of clinical education.

She has 29 years of experience in clinical and academic education, quality improvement and project development.

Jahnke earned her bachelor of science in nursing from California State University, Chico, and earned a master's degree in nursing from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Krueger was hired as director of community development.

Krueger brings 18 years experience to the position.

She earned a bachelor's degree in human development and family studies from the University of Nevada, Reno.
