Steven Jones has joined Allied Nevada Gold Corp. of Reno as executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Jones most recently was president and chief financial officer of of EPM Mining Ventures Inc. He also has held management positions with Katanga Mining, Riverway Petroleum Partners, El Paso Corp. and Freeport McMoran.
He is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor's degree in finance.
Jones succeeds Hal Kirby, who will take an extended leave of absence to focus on other pursuits.
