Eleanor (Nora) Augusta Dalcin Bartko passed away on March 16, 2012, at the age of 89. She was born in Allentown, PA on November 2, 1922, the younger twin to Lena Louise Dalcin Seneca.
Nora moved to Burbank, CA, in 1946 where she met her future husband, Alex Joseph Bartko. They married in 1949, a marriage lasting 47 years until she was widowed in 1997. She had 3 children. Nora was a devoted wife and mother.
In 1981, she and her husband moved to Minden, NV, where they were active members of St. Gall's Catholic Church. Nora was a breast cancer survivor after being diagnosed in 1998.
Nora was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alex; sisters, Echa Capraro, Louise Dal Pos, Augusta (Tots) Tamagone; and brothers, Constantine, Peter, John and Guido. She is survived by her twin sister, Lena Seneca of Allentown, PA; daughter, Dianne (Pete) Onorato of Minden, NV; son, Phillip (Monika) Bartko of Calabassas, CA; daughter, Karen Simpson of Minden, NV; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A rosary/viewing will be held at 6pm on Friday, March 23, 2012, Fitzhenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home, 1380 US Hwy 395, Gardnerville, NV 89410. 775-782-1999
Funeral mass will be held at 1pm on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at St. Gall's Catholic Church, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville, NV 89410. Fr. John Corona will be officiating.
