Nevada's congressional delegation has scheduled joint information sessions to provide high school students with information about the nation's military academies.
Representatives for Sens. Harry Reid and Dean Heller, as well as Reps. Shelley Berkley, Joe Heck and Mark Amodei, will be available for students to ask about the opportunities available at the academies, including the enrollment, nomination and education processes. Members of Congress have the power to recommend students for appointment to those military academies.
Both sessions will be held March 31. The northern Academy Information Day begins at 9 a.m. in the Joe Crowley Student Union at UNR.
The southern session is set for 6 p.m. at the College of Southern Nevada in North Las Vegas.
