Carson City

The following people were booked into Carson City Jail over the weekend. All are innocent until proved guilty in court.

• Brett Steven Jones, 32, of Carson City, was arrested just after midnight Sunday on charges of felony parole and probation violation. He was found inside a local casino by deputies, who checked his name through dispatch and found a no-drinking clause and no-casino clause as conditions of his release. He reportedly told the deputies he had drank 10 beers through the night. He was held without bail.

• Tyler Eugene Lawson, 22, of Carson City, was arrested early Saturday and charged with probation violation and giving false ID to avoid prosecution, both felonies. He was also held on a felony possession-of-a-controlled-substance warrant and a misdemeanor contempt-of-court warrant. He was held without bail. During the response, a 20-year-old Carson City man was also arrested. He had two misdemeanor contempt-of-court warrants. His bail was $3,500.

• Travis Wellington Williams, a 28-year-old transient, was arrested Thursday afternoon and charged with damaging the jail, a felony. Williams, who was already in the jail, reportedly started yelling incoherently and kicking the door, ultimately breaking its glass window. His bail was $7,500.

• Therese Dumont-Cory, 54, of Carson City, was arrested at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday and charged with possession of counterfeit money and possession of methamphetamine, both felonies, and violating the conditions of her release, a misdemeanor. She was arrested while deputies assigned to the Special Enforcement Team investigated another suspect that she was reportedly associating with. She gave deputies consent to search her car, where they found methamphetamine, according to the police report. When they searched her purse during booking, they also found a fake $20 bill, according to the report. Her bail was $20,500.

• James Argus Summers, 41, of Carson City, was arrested at about 5:45 p.m. Friday and charged with a felony parole and probation violation.

Members of the sheriff's Special Enforcement Team were conducting a business check at a local casino, where they made contact with Summers. He told deputies he was dropping off cigarettes for his wife. A dispatch check revealed a no-bar clause as a condition of Summers' release. According to the arrest report, the deputy did not see him drinking or gambling. A preliminary breathalyzer test showed no presence of alcohol. He was given no bail.
