David-Jacques Farahi has been named chief operating officer of Monarch Casino & Resort, owner of Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.
Farahi, the 30-year-old son of John Farahi, the company's chief executive officer and co-chairman, previously was executive director of gaming operations and director of investor relations for the company.
He also has worked for HSBC Bank, Wells Fargo & Co, and Goldman Sachs Group Inc.
Farahi earned a bachelor's degree in economics and international studies from Northwestern University and earned a master's degree in business from Columbia Business School.
