Chuck Benton passed away May 8, 2012 at the age of 42 surrounded by family and friends. Chuck died as a result of complications following a courageous battle with a brief illness. He is survived by his son, Trenton Saxton; his dad, Tom Benton (Julie); his siblings, Nancy, Tom (Suzann), Pat McMullen (Rob), Jan (Karen), David (Holly), Mark Hicks (Marilyn), Brian Hicks and his beloved nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his Mother, Carole Benton.
Chuck grew up in Washoe Valley and attended Wooster High School and was an avid Wolf Pack fan where he enjoyed many football and baseball games with his family.
A celebration of life will be held Monday, May 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Ross, Burke & Knobel Mortuary at 1538 "C" St., Sparks, NV. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Chuck's name to Northern Nevada Center for Independent Living at 999 Pyramid Way, Sparks, NV 89431.
