Helen Anselle (Gilbert) Brandenburg, was born in Shellknob, MO on May 6, 1912. She passed away on May 11, 2012. She was the fifth of six children born to Charles and Amanda Gilbert.
Helen married Delmar Brandenburg in 1931, they had two children, Charles and Edwin. She was preceded in death by her parents; all her siblings; son, Charles and husband, Delmar. She worked at Lockheed during WWII and then Fisher International as a solderer on assembly work. She kept books for the family business for 50 years.
Helen leaves behind son, Edwin; daughter-in-law, Carol (Charles' wife), 7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Helen loved life, playing cards, and doing crossword puzzles. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed. Helen celebrated her 100th birthday with 150 family members and friends.
There will be no services to be held. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is caring for the arrangements.
