Ardito named to handle community affairs for Sandoval

Gov. Brian Sandoval has named Reno public relations executive Julie Ardito as his director of community affairs and constituent services.

Ardito has more than 20 years experience in economic development, tourism, corporate and non-profit communications. She will oversee external communications and community outreach as well as constituent services.

"Julie has proven she knows Nevada and can communicate with multiple audiences on the most important issues facing our state," said Sandoval in the announcement.

She joins the governor's staff July 2.
