Daniel S. Shapiro, M.D., has been named chair of internal medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine.
Shapiro, an infectious disease internist, previously worked at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, where he served as associate professor as well as director of the clinical microbiology laboratories at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Mass.
He will hold the H. Edward Manville, Jr. Endowed Chair.
