Walter M. Higgins III of Reno has been named president and chief executive officer of Ascendant Group Ltd., a utilities holding company headquartered at Hamilton, Bermuda.
Higgins previously worked as chairman, president and chief executive officer of Sierra Pacific Resources (now NV Energy).
