Barbara Jean Kirby passed away Oct. 30th after a long battle with cancer. She was born June 5th 1940 to Thomas and Mildred "Millie" Self.
She was a loving mother of seven children, a homemaker, a dedicated employee, a loyal wife, and the caretaker to her whole family. She spent her life trying to make life for her family better. Her home was always open to everyone. She was a friend to many, her smile radiated to all those who were blessed to know her.
Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband of 32 years, Victor Kirby; daughter, Teddie Penhollow; sister, Hester Araujo; brother, Thomas Self Jr.; mother-in-law, Victoria Pradere; and her parents, Thomas and Mildred Self.
Our mother is survived by children, John Dillard Jr., Ginger Babcock, Jeff Dillard, Cindy Baum, Hester Dillard, and Robert Dillard; step-son, Randy Kirby; sister-in-laws, Delinda Kinkel and Duana Lompa; 21 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Service will be handled by Walton's Funeral Home on January 26.
