Michael Doolin and Sid Tolbert have been named to top management positions at the Fire Creek project under development by Klondex Mines Ltd. in Lander County.
Doolin, who was named general manager of Fire Creek, has worked 25 years in the mining industry and most recently worked for Great Basin Gold as manager of its Esmeralda Mill.
He also has worked with McClelland Laboratories, Eagle Pilcher Minerals, GD Resources, Marigold Mining, Corona Gold, and Round Mountain Gold.
Doolin earned bachelor's degrees in metallurgical engineering and chemistry from Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology.
Tolbert was named mine superintendent of Fire Creek.
He most recently worked as mine operations superintendent of Newmont Mining's Midas Mine and Newmont's Vista project at Twin Creeks.
Before joining Newmont 14 years ago, he worked with Normandy Mining Corporation, Dynatec Mining Corp. and Thyssen Mining.
