The Nevada State Railroad Museum Santa Train is set for this weekend and another in mid-December.Santa Claus, according to the museum, will make an express run on the steam train pulled by V&T Railway locomotive No. 25 Saturday and Sunday, returning for another appearance on the train Dec. 15 and 16.The Santa Train departs Carson City’s Wabuska Depot, which is at the museum where Fairview Drive meets Highway 395, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the four days it will run.Each train will leave the depot as soon as Santa and passengers have boarded. Tickets cost $3 per seat, available at the depot, and seating is on a first come, first served basis.Visitors awaiting their chance are encouraged to see exhibits, restored locomotives and the rolling stock in the museum, or they can do the same after they ride. Museum admission is $6 for adults, free for those 17 or younger and for museum members.Visitors also can shop at the museum store, which is stocked with rail-oriented books, clothing, toys and other Nevada-related specialty items.
