Darrel Elton Cauch, 83, passed away on October 10, 2012 in Carson City, Nev. He was born to Elbert E. Cauch and Altha M. Cauch in Carpenteria, Calif. He graduated from Elsinore High School andmarried Shirley Jean (Gagnon) Cauch in Yuma, Ariz. on June 11, 1950.
Darrel spent 3 years in the U.S. Army Transportation Corp. He then went on to become chief appraiser for the Carson City Assessors Office. He was a member of Past Master Carson Lodge #1, and also centennial #47 Active York Rite Masonic Bodies of Carson City.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley. He is survived by his children, Cynthia Y. Sherman of Yuba City, Calif., Carl D. Cauch of Elizabethtown, Ky., Christopher D. Cauch of Longview, Wash., and Curt L. Cauch of Carson City, Nev.; two nieces; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Carson Lodge, 113 E. Washington Street, Carson City, Nevada on Sunday October 28, 2012 at 10:00 AM. In Lieu of flowers, you may make donations to The Knight's Templer Eye Foundation Inc., 1033 Long Prairie Road, Suite 5, Flower Mound TX, 75022. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
