Survey: Entrepreneurs' revenues up

More than three quarters of the members of the Reno-Tahoe Chapter of Entrepreneurs Organization says their companies experienced an increase in revenue in the past six months.

A survey found 75 percent reported increased revenue in past six months, 17 reported flat revenues and 8 percent reported a decline.

A similar survey of Entrepreneurs Organization members across the globe found 68 percent reporting an increase, 20 percent saying revenues are unchanged and 12 percent reporting decreases.

Of the EO members in the Reno-Tahoe area, the survey found 58 percent say their companies added fulltime employees within the last six months. Fifty percent say they will add part-time or contract workers in the next months.

Some 92 percent of Reno Tahoe members of EO predict an increase in net profit during the coming six months, while only 8 percent project profit decreases.

"Both business performance metrics and attitude-related factors are trending positively, which bodes well not only for the region's business community, but also the state's economy as a whole," says Laura Partridge, president of Creative Concepts Media + Marketing and communications chair of the EO in Reno-Tahoe.
