The Nevada Governor's Office of Economic Development and the Nevada Mining Association said last week they will form a statewide Supply Chain Committee to encourage mining support businesses to locate and expand in the state.
The state agency has begun a search for a new mining industry specialist who will be located in Elko.
The mining association will pay part of the specialist's salary.
