Waste Management of Nevada's acquisition Trash Pros in Fallon last week was a logical extension of its services in Lyon and Churchill counties, says Sarah Sciarani, Communications Specialist for Waste Management of Nevada.
Waste Management of Nevada acquired five trash collection trucks and three support vehicles that it will continue to use, as well as containers at customer locations. Trash Pros serviced Fernley and the unincorporated areas of Churchill County between Fallon and Fernley.
Trash Pros has a dozen employees, and Sciarani says Waste Management of Nevada is evaluating staffing levels required to maintain service to current customers.
Waste Management of Nevada already serviced Fernley with commercial accounts and had a transfer station and other infrastructure in place, Sciarani says, so it simply made sense to add residential service in the region.
