Pastor Justin Simmons of Capital Christian Center will hold “Increasing the Joy,” an event to provide underprivileged children gifts this holiday season, at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Carson City Community Center.
Toys are collected, sorted by children’s ages, wrapped and distributed before the holiday to children up to 12 years old.
The distribution event, in its ninth year, also provides children with Christmas activities and treats and the opportunity to meet Santa.
