Hobby Lobby expects to open its first Reno-area store next spring.
The retailer headquartered in Oklahoma City said it will operate in 50,900 square feet at 5685 S. Virginia, a space formerly occupied by a JCPenny Home Store. The store probably will open in late March or early April.
Randy Betts, senior vice president of store operations, said Hobby Lobby will employ about 50 at the store. Pay for full-time hourly workers is $14 an hour; pay for part-timers is $9.50.
