130 years agoThe people of Storey County have reached the conclusion the promises made by their representatives have been forgotten. Legislators, bent on acting for California Corporations have incited at least one citizen to produce the following dodger: "A matter which concerns us all! A Grand Mass Meeting. Of the citizens will be called to ask our legislators to relieve us from the damnable outrages of the Railroad Corporations! Shall our third Legislature be permitted to do the same?" Signed, one of the Victims.100 years agoErnest Miner, who has been firing the V. & T. for a number of years, has resigned his position and with his family is moving to California where he has secured a farm. Mr. Miner and his family have lived here many years and will be missed.70 years agoRumors are that a state lottery bill will be introduced in the State Legislature.
