Free forum on Obamacare set at Silver State on Feb. 19

A free forum on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, informally known as Obamacare, is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19.Called Public Forum II on Implementation of ACA, the gathering in the Silver State Charter School Performing Arts Center, 900 Mallory Way, is being sponsored by Sierra Nevada Forums, formerly Rising Above Partisanship.Moderated by Dr. Susan Pintar, Carson City public health officer, the event will feature three speakers: Dr. Sandra Koch, a medical doctor; Debra Scott, a nurse and the executive director of the Nevada State Board of Nursing; and Larry Matheis, executive director of the Nevada State Medical Association.While the event is free, organizers say donations are welcome.
