Obituary: Floyd "Nick" Nichols

Nick was born Feb 2, 1945 in Connersville, Indiana. He moved with his family to Long Beach, California where he graduated from Wilson High School in 1963. Nick married Kathleen his wife of 50 years in Feb 1963. After raising their family in southern California, Nick and Kathy moved to Carson City in 1984. They started NRC Roofing Inc. in 1985. They ran the business together with their kids and grandkids until Nick retired due to the onset of his illness in 2007. The business is still owned by Kathleen and being run by family members.

Nick was a longtime member of the Eagle Valley Men's Club, and a lifelong avid golfer. He taught his son-in-law and his three grandsons how to golf and because of his influence his youngest grandson went to the Professional Golfers Career College in Temecula, CA. and is now one of the PGA teaching professionals at Eagle valley Golf Course.

Nick and Kathy loved spending time with their family, and traveling to their cabin in Alturas, CA. as well as taking road trips around the country in their RV. They especially loved going to Death Valley, CA. where Nick could spend time golfing.

Nick was very much loved by his family and will be very missed.
