God's condemnation of homosexuality is clear

Regarding Marilee Swirczek's opinion of Jan. 30, Swirczek's complaint on my "Homosexuality is Morally Wrong" leads to the deduction that she never studied the 10 Commandments, the sixth in particular; the history of God's destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and she feels God would not repeat Himself. Studying history is man's guide to recognizing and not repeating past stupidities!

Her Danielle Greene's "New Club Offers Hope, Acceptance" of Dec. 28, 2012 - of what? Open immorality? Others' forced acceptance of same? How about encouraging someone doing something morally wrong to do the right thing, thus shedding their problems of being "who they are" for being what God created them to be?

"Forward thinking?" Like ignoring the natural law? How about truthful thinking? Truth is unchanging! On killing and stealing: the comparison is the fact that all fall into the mortal sin category, meaning a great offense before God!

As for the "millstone," I was not suggesting we "kill" anyone. I was reminding readers that Christ, the Son of God, warned mankind about the dangers of setting bad examples. Does she really think Christ's warning was hateful, the same Christ who died for all our sins, including homosexuality?

My suggestion is we open our eyes before it is too bloody late!

Today's liberalism why we need self-protection

Mr. Agamenone's opinion is typical Liberalism. The Constitution, its Bill of Rights and amendments are self-explanatory, direct and to the point.

His opinion concerning the Second Amendment and the regulated militia as not being the authorization for the people to own arms is somewhat self-serving in the Liberal mind. The intent of the words in this amendment are very simple when one remembers the first fighting force in America was a militia made up of state citizens, not a military.

The Founding Fathers were experienced in nations governed by tyrants with military to control the people and not allow free speech or forceful rebellion. The Bill of Rights was ratified Dec. 15, 1791. The Second Amendment states, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Pretty straightforward I think.

Today our military is again a volunteer service and sworn to protect the 50 states and Constitution from foreign and domestic enemies. The only thing that we have to worry about today are certain domestic federal agencies controlled by the president, not military bombs or missiles.

Looking at today's liberal political environment and continued manipulation or destruction of the Constitution, one can now visualize why the Founding Fathers made the Second Amendment a high priority in the Bill of Rights, to protect the freedoms of the American citizens using any means possible.
