"Educate, Innovate, Motivate" will be the theme of Directions 2013, the 21st annual economic event sponsored by The Chamber.
Directions 2013, the region's largest business event, is set for Feb. 7 at the Grand Sierra Resort-Summit Pavilion.
Registration, networking, vendor exhibits and a continental breakfast begin at 6:30 a.m. with the program running from 7:30 a.m. until noon.
Scheduled speakers include Governor Brian Sandoval; Jim Guthrie, state superintendent of public instruction; Jon Ralston, a Nevada political pundit; and Mark Lautman, an Albuquerque author and consultant on economic development.
Participants in a panel on government cooperation and share services will be Kathie Novak of the University of Denver, Sparks City Manager Shaun Carey, Reno City Manager Andrew Clinger and Washoe County Manager Katy Simon.
