Doron Blachar has been appointed chief financial officer of Reno-based Ormat Technologies Inc., effective April 2.
Blachar currently is CFO of Israel's Shikun & Binui Ltd. He also has held financial management positions with Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. and Admdocs Ltd.
He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and economics and a master's degree in business from Tel Aviv University. He is a certified public accountant in Israel.
Blachar succeeds Joseph Tenne, who resigned after seven years with Ormat.
