Lake Tahoe SummerFest has announced its second annual orchestra concert series Aug. 2-18 at Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village.
This year’s orchestra will be comprised of 40 virtuoso musicians, who were individually invited from orchestras such as the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the symphonies of San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, and the Leipzig Gewandhaus.
“We are so pleased to continue the magic created by last year’s inaugural SummerFest concert series,” said Madylon Meiling, Lake Tahoe SummerFest founder and chair. “In the same intimate concert environment, we’re adding “TalkBack,” an opportunity for post-concert discussions with Maestro Revzen and the musicians.”
Orchestral concerts will be at 7 p.m. Fridays; intimate chamber music will be at 7 p.m. Saturdays and concert performances for families will be at 4 p.m. Sundays. For more information or tickets, go to www.laketahoe summerfest.org.
