Douglas County deputies are seeking a suspect in a shooting reported 2:15 p.m. today in Topaz Ranch Estates.

Gary “Buck” Wilson allegedly fired a shotgun at the victim in the case, who received a nonlife threatening shoulder wound.

According to the sheriff’s office, Wilson is 44 and drives a red Geo without a top.

Wilson is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with shoulder-length hair. He was last seen wearing jeans and no shirt.

He reportedly pulled the victim out of his vehicle and shot him.

“Wilson is currently at large and should be considered armed and dangerous,” according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Washoe County RAVEN helicopter is in southern Douglas County to help deputies look for Wilson.

Residents in the T.R.E. are asked to secure their homes and notify the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office if they encounter the suspect or have any information to assist. Deputies are currently in the Topaz Ranch Estates area actively searching for Wilson.
