GE’s Bently Nevada, 1631 Bently Parkway S. in Minden, will honor veterans and active military members at the second annual Military Appreciation Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
Veteran-support organizations and businesses to inform veterans and military families about available resources. Representatives from the GE Veterans Network, an employee group made up of veterans and supporters, will be available. Keynote speaker Brig. Gen. William R. Burks, adjutant general for the state, will be there.
In conjunction with the fair, GE will host the Hiring Our Heroes job fair.
This year’s event is presented in conjunction with the Reno-Tahoe Open as the official kick-off of the Northern Nevada Salute the Troops Week. Veteran job seekers are encouraged to attend. Food and beverages will be sold, and activities for children will be available.
