Fallon AMBER alert cancelled

The Fallon Police Department cancelled an Amber alert at 12:05 p.m.

The Fallon Police Department and the Nevada Highway Patrol had issued a statewide AMBER Alert in Nevada for a Fallon woman and her 5 year old child.

Investigators say Rebecca Marie Smart has a history of mental problems and may not be taking her medications. Last night she took her 5 year old daughter Rachel Rose Smart and left Fallon, telling friends that the end of the world was near and they were going to New York state so her daughter could “meet Jehovah”.
