(Grand Time continued from Friday) We waited for the big dance. When the Indians formed in a ring around a solitary bunch of sagebrush some three 300 yards in circumference, they began going around, hip to hip and shoulder to shoulder. The singing was the same! “It is not much to see an Indian fandango — after you have seen it, go out as you would an opera, so that you may say to the folks afterwards, ‘I have been there.’ ”

Rabbits are becoming a pest this season. More young rabbits are about than in years, and on some farms have destroyed all kinds of garden truck. From all appearances, the Indians will have a merry time during roundup this fall.

At Carson high school graduation, six outstanding students received awards including Frank C. Meyers, Marcellilne Chartz, Shirley Buell, Leslie Harvey, Vincent Samproni and Don Hardies.

Ormsby County Commissioners listened to complaints today from Ray (Moon), a Carson City pilot, who said the Carson City Airport is lacking of service and of all state capitol airports, the worst.

Wet weather didn’t dampen the spirits of firefighters attending the Firemen’s Muster at Mills Park.
